Content Officer, Solve

The Solve Content Officer will be responsible for helping to manage and draft external-facing writing for Solve. They will serve as a staff writer, a deadline editor, and a copy-editor across Solve’s external writing needs. They will play a role in syndicating writing in media. They will manage the Solve Style guide.

They will notably:

  • Serve as the staff writer and editor for Solve and the Solve community
  • Draft collateral including press releases, story pitches, op-eds, talking points, interview guidance, speeches, marketing language, blogs, emails, newsletters, and social media
  • Play a role in helping to pitch to or syndicate op-eds in traditional and digital media sources
  • Manage and update the Solve Style guide
  • Serve as a copy-editor across Solve’s teams for style and content

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in a writing or editorial environment
  • Portfolio of previous work and writing
  • Experience in start-up and/or social impact environment preferred
  • Proven ability to write across a variety of media and in a variety of voices
  • Proven ability to edit and copy-write for others
  • Experience pitching to media preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be flexible and able to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate needs
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
