Marketing and Events Designer

And MIT Technology Review is the gateway to the world of important innovations and technologies changing how we live, work, and play. We are looking for a designer to partner with our fast-scaling marketing, events, and custom publishing teams on a wide range of projects, including consumer marketing communications, custom and branded event materials, and social media promotions. Your print, digital, and environmental designs will play a key role in supporting the strategic goals of the company, fostering relationships with our audiences, and strengthening the MIT Technology Review brand.
The ideal candidate
In addition to possessing a strong design portfolio, you are an organized, multidisciplinary creative thinker who is passionate about storytelling, works collaboratively, and has an appreciation for the role of design in pursuing business goals. You are able to manage the design component of all projects, including job trafficking, timelines, budgets, and status updates, and can contribute innovative and strategically-sound ideas that are on-brand and of the highest quality.
- Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Keynote, and PowerPoint
- Experience creating basic animations and editing digital video
- Familiarity with A/V, lighting, and staging
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be open to other perspectives, communicate with diplomacy, and advocate for one’s own ideas
