MIT Technology Review Announces 18th Annual EmTech MIT 2018 Conference, September 11-14

The publication’s flagship conference will convene innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore the year’s most significant emerging technologies.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – August 23 2018:MIT Technology Reviewtoday announced additional speakers and partners for its upcoming EmTech MITevent taking place at the MIT Media Labon September 11-14, 2018. 

EmTech MIT launched in 1999 to explore the biggest breakthroughs and technologies of the year and examine the potential impact on business and society. This year’s program will explore a wide variety of topics including how artificial intelligence (AI) is impacting global industries today, how genetic information is being used to solve crimes, and growing cyber security concerns including the threat of election hacking. The event also features talks from MIT Technology Review’s 2018 Innovators Under 35.

New speakers and discussion topics include:

  • Greg Hyslop, Chief Technology Officer, The Boeing Company - Launching a New Era in Aerospace
  • CeCe Moore, Founder, The DNA Detectives - Solving Cold Cases: An Unlikely Application for DNA Databases

  • Ethan Zuckerman, Director, MIT Center for Civic Media - The Ethics of the Internet
